Miley Cyrus has become a teen idol playing the squeaky-clean heroine of "Hannah Montana," the smash-hit television series about a normal adolescent who leads a double life as a pop star.
Yet as the 16-year-old Disney protege continues her meteoric rise in cinemas this week with the release of "Hannah Montana: The Movie", Cyrus admits there is one role that she is still getting used to: superstar.
"People are always saying I?m over-working and over-exposed and that I want the attention but that's not what I want at all," Cyrus told a recent press conference ahead of her film's release in North America this Friday.

After Hannah Montana ends its run on the Disney Channel, don't look for Miley Cyrus to star in another television series.
“I love doing Hannah Montana, but I don’t know if I would want to do another show,” Miley told me yesterday at the Academy of Country Music Awards at Las Vegas' MGM Grand.
But then again, her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, didn’t think he’d do another series after Doc went off the air in 2004.

Singer/actress Miley Cyrus has been planning her dream wedding since she was five years old, according to her mother Leticia.
On Friday, the 16-year-old Disney star was forced to dismiss reports she is to marry her model/singer boyfriend Justin Gaston, after joking about an engagement during a radio interview.
Cyrus sparked rumours she is set to exchange vows with the 20-year-old after Los Angeles DJ Ryan Seacrest asked whether she planned to spend the rest of her life with Gaston, to which she replied, "If he gets a pretty ring." ... Read More ...

Miley Cyrus' split from Nick Jonas was "really tough for her," her best pal, Mandy Jiroux, admits in Cyrus' E! special, premiering Wednesday.
Adds Cyrus' mom, Tish: "Going through that with your daughter is really, really hard, especially for Miley being on tour. There were times when I was like, 'Oh my gosh, I just wish we were home and she could just kind of get over this in private."

In "Hannah Montana: The Movie," Miley Cyrus' character faces quite the dilemma: Does she continue leading a double life as pop star Hannah Montana and regular girl Miley Stewart, or does she finally make a choice?
It seems like a scenario Cyrus would understand, but in her life, there aren't two sides: She's always the superstar. "That would be awesome, but like I kind of show in the movie, it's not a reality," she told MTV News. Sure, most girls would kill for the chance to be in the same room as Robert Pattinson. But for a girl like Miley Cyrus, who has already dated a Jonas Brother and is currently dating a model/musician, making time with RPattz isn't at the top of her list of things to do.
"I'm not a huge Rob Pattinson fan," she says in the new issue of Teen Vogue. "Girls aren't really in love with Rob; they're in love with ['Twilight' hero] Edward."
Turning from fictional heroes to her real-life love drama, Cyrus told the magazine that she still hangs out with ex Nick Jonas and even goes to karaoke with him and his brothers. "Joe singing 'Bootylicious' was the most amazing thing I've ever seen," she said.
But the conversation always goes back to the aforementioned model-musician, Justin Gaston, whom she's currently dating. She confessed that she didn't notice him the first time she saw him. Miley Cyrus and her father Billy Ray spend a a lot of time together, both personally and professionally. So does he ever get sick of his superstar daughter?
"The dress Miley is wearing tonight is perfect, and so are these earrings because they convert into fishing lines real quick," Billy Ray told FOXNews.com at the Academy of Country Music Awards show Sunday night, motioning to Miley's long jeweled earrings.
But the 16-year-old wasn't so sweet with her response.
"You've been using this joke forever, and that didn't even make sense, but you just wanted to use it. It's not that funny, you're just upset because I busted you about it," she quickly quipped.
